FAQ
IS A CANE CORSO GOOD WITH CHILDREN?
Absolutely, a cane corso is a very loving, patient spirit. Being a parent, I like to train our corsi to sit to get acknowledged & then pet on. So that way when my little ones love on them, they are less likely to get knocked down. If that happens, the corso usually licks them and apologizes. Most protection trainers will recommend a corso for a family environment.
IS A CANE CORSO GOOD WITH OTHER ANIMALS?
Yes they are, however, they do have a prey drive in their DNA. As long as you introduce a smaller animal as part of "the pack", they will even protect that animal as well. They are wonderfully intuitive.
SHOULD I TRAIN MY CANE CORSO?
I would highly recommend training. Basic obedience would work for any situation. Learning manners on the leash, walking alongside you, sit, stay, come, all polite doggy manners. Plus it's another way for you to bond with your fur baby.
WHAT IS A CANE CORSO PERSONALITY LIKE?
A Cane Corso is a very sensitive dog, yet they are also very protective in nature. Their serious appearance gives them an intimidation factor, however, with their own family, they are very gentle natured. To look at the size of this breed, you wouldn’t know it, but these dogs are actually extremely fast and very agile when in motion. They are also people-pleasers. They want to please their owners and you should expect that this breed loves to be with their family; and always ready to accept, as well as give unconditional love and affection.
